Multinet Gas Networks

Multinet Gas Networks (MGN) is a natural gas distribution company. We own and operate the gas network throughout Melbourne’s inner and outer east, the Yarra Ranges and South Gippsland.

MGN distributes natural gas to over 720,000 customers on our network, transporting gas from the high-pressure transmission network operated by APA VTS to residential, commercial and industrial customers.

We generate revenue by charging retailers to transport natural gas through our networks.

In 2017 MGN became a part of the Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG). AGIG is owned by the CK Infrastructure Holdings led consortium and combines the operations of the Dampier Bunbury Pipeline (DBP), Australian Gas Networks (AGN) and Multinet.
